ABOUT ZEPHYR QUARTET
The Zephyr Quartet is a South Australian based string quartet dedicated to introducing new audiences to the quartet medium and to showing the versatility of this medium to existing audiences.
Zephyr promotes and encourages emerging and established artists by commissioning and performing new works.
Zephyr creates new and interesting explorations in the use of a string quartet in modern art forms and invites collaborations.
Zephyr has a passion for all styles of music and is able to present an eclectic array of music suitable for any occasion.

Belinda Gehlert - Violin
Belinda studied at the University of Adelaide with Keith Crellin and holds a Diploma and a Bachelor in violin performance and a postgraduate diploma in jazz violin performance. An accomplished performer, improviser, composer and arranger of music, Belinda’s experience as a freelance artist spans across many genres. In addition to her work with Zephyr Quartet, Belinda is a member of the Adelaide Art Orchestra, a casual musician with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and the founding member of The Ruby Frost String Quartet. As a performer, her career highlights include performing in the 2004 production of the Ring Cycle, and national and international touring with Australian Youth Orchestra. As a professional composer, Belinda composes and arranges music for the Zephyr Quartet, The Ruby Frost Quartet and theatre.
